The Godex EZ2350i is an extra heavy duty industrial barcode label printer and the much improved successor of the Godex EZ2150 . This improved EZ2350i from Godex is part of the Godex EZ series . This EZ label printer series consists of 4 models, all of which are characterized by the very robust and strong metal housing and the metal printer mechanism. As part of the 4 models in this series, in addition to this 300 DPI EZ2350i, a 203 DPI model is available for more simple labels known as the Godex EZ2250i . Both the EZ2250i and EZ2350i, both suitable for up to 4 inches, are also available as a 6 inch model for extra wide labels. These models are known as the Godex EX6250i for the 203 DPI variant, and the Godex EZ6350i for the 300 DPI for barcodes.
As part of the EZ series, the Godex EZ2350i is the barcode label printer for labels up to 4 inches (over 10 cm) wide. The print resolution of 300 DPI makes the EZ2350i ideal for more difficult labels with, for example, small letters or barcodes. This resolution is sufficient for almost all common barcode and product labels and is widely used in the food industry and for product labels. With a maximum print speed of 127 mm per second , this industrial label printer is fast enough for most applications. In addition to the very robust construction, this label printer is also equipped with a color LCD screen in combination with physical push buttons for optimal operation. The Godex EZ printers also have an automatic detection system which automatically detects whether transfer ribbons with inner or outer wrapping are used, so that the winding up after printing always runs smoothly. As an industrial thermal label printer, the Godex EZ2350i uses label rolls with a maximum outer diameter of 8 inches and transfer ribbons 450 meters long.
Part of the connections on this Godex EZ label printer is the USB host connection. A USB 2.0 memory stick can be placed here for memory expansion where necessary. This connection can also be used for standalone functionality, for example by connecting a weighing sheep or keyboard directly to the printer, labels can be printed automatically and without the intervention of a computer. The Godex ZX1000i series consists of industrial label printers that focus on fast printing of large label volumes. The Godex ZX1300i is best compared to the Godex EZ2350i and offers a speed of 177 mm per second.
Printers from the Godex EZ series have a very long service life. Of course, an industrial label printer needs some maintenance every now and then, although this printer is limited to keeping dust free where possible and occasionally replacing the wear parts such as the plate rolls and the printhead sporadically. As proof of the extremely high reliability of the Godex printers in the mid-range and industrial segment, Godex offers a standard warranty of 5 years. Because the printhead falls under the wearing parts, the warranty on the printhead is limited to 6 months.
The Godex EZ2350i can handle both Thermal Direct and Thermal transfer printer media with a roll width of up to 118 mm. The label rolls for the Godex EZ2350i have a maximum outer diameter of 8 inches (203.2 mm) and a core of 1.5 to 3 inches (38.1 to 76.2 mm). In addition, the rear feed can be used so that FanFold media can be used.
