Shipping labels with a size of 100 x 210 mm, also known as DHL format, are shipping labels that are mainly used by DHL. Where most transport services use an A6 label format for parcel labels, DHL uses a larger label of 100 x 210 mm for a parcel of services.
Most logistics service providers use A6 shipping labels for the transport. However, a number of transport services require extra space for barcodes or other extra data, this extra space is often sought in the length, whereby the shipping label is made 210 mm long. The DHL shipping labels from Diamondlabels are of optimal quality and can already be printed well with a relatively low temperature setting, which minimizes the wear of the printhead.

Obviously, a good label printer is needed to print shipping labels. Businesslabels recommends using the Godex DT4x thermal label printer. This very reliable label printer is very suitable to function as a shipping label printer and offers many standard extras. Printing shipping labels with a shipping label printer offers many advantages such as no waste of unused labels on an A4 sheet and lower costs because no ink is required. Compared to printing with a Dymo, a standard label printer such as a Godex DT4x or an Zebra ZD420 more expensive to buy but much cheaper to use (Dymo labels can be up to 10x more expensive).
When a desktop label printer no longer satisfies because the average number of shipping labels per day exceeds 100, Businesslabels advises to consider a second desktop label printer or to opt for a Godex ZX420i mid-range label printer. This larger label printer comes with larger label rolls (DHL shipping labels on 76mm core), which means that less often has to be changed roles.
