The ColorWorks GP-C831 is epson’s full-color inkjet printer.This printer is widely used to print GHS labels on large drums do meet the BS5609 standards must meet. Before the Epson Colorworks CW-C6000 series was launched, this was the only choice for printing broad GHS labels that meet CAT3’s BS5609 standard.
The media for this printer is quite unique due to the feeding mechanism. This is an old technique best known for Matrix printers and is extremely reliable and precise. However, the problem with this printer is that no detection sensors are built in and the media needs to be set exactly in the driver so as not to get out of context. This makes the Epson ColorWorks C831 epson’s least user-friendly label printer.
